~ThE SuMmEr JuSt KeEpS on RoLliN'~

Another update... mostly through pictures:)

July 4th- Wednesday

It started with a meeting at the park at 6am, and then a 10k at 7am for Me, Travis, and my best friend, Mackeznzie (Travis finished with a 7min 49sec average per mile for the race, nicely done babe). Afterward we met over at our usual parade route spot with all our families.

After a long afternoon nap which consisted of Maddix, Travis, and I cuddled up on our bed passed out during a movie :) We went up to Larisa and Phil's for volleyball, a bbq, and fireworks (which Maddix loved).  While the adults played Maddix and Keili found ways to entertain themselves from racecar driving, to jumping on the tramp... they even added a sprinkler on the tramp later on; Maddix hated that part.

Thursday's Recovery from the 4th~
It was mostly a down day for us... to lazy to really do anything; and thanks to the rain we didn't feel bad about it. I want to say we did go do something, but I just can't remember.

Friday the 6th
Friday I went back to Zumba and visited with all the girls and then saw a few new faces. When I came home I found Maddix and Travis cleaning the jeep (even though it's not Trav's anymore, he still loves it and wants it to be treated right)
He insisted in hiding in the box

Maddix and Nala had a blas in their little fort made from the Jeep shell

Then that night after I got off of work we spent the night at my Uncle Scott's and house/dog sat while he went to St. George for the weekend.

Saturday Fun
We spent the morning around the house due to me not feeling very well and then in the afternoon we made our way up to the City Creek Center
This walk lasted a whole 5 minutes before we went home
We got him to sing into the mic and then he'd play the piano while we sang

Stopped off for some smoothies (mine smelled like freshly mowed grass)
He loved the water fountains all over

Then we walked over to Temple Square just as it started to lightly rain
Then late that night after Maddix went to bed Travis and I went outside to have a late night fire with smores and we even got to enjoy some awesome fire works from the neighbors next door.

We had tried talking my Uncle's Dog into coming outside but she was moping because she missed him too much, so she refused to come outside. When we came back in we couldn't find her anywhere... and then we found her here:) She was just snuggled up to the boy.
Her tail started wagging so fast when we found her
Then this morning we were cleaning up to go home for church and we noticed Maddix and Nala were gone but we could hear him giggling, and this is where we found them :

Too Good to Not Record

Almost immediately after waking up this morning Maddix and I hopped out the front door and we made our way to my parents house to go play with my siblings
Nala was so pleasant on this walk. We kept stopping to look at all the ducks and Maddix did NOT want to exit the River trail when it came time. After reaching my parents house we got ready and went to the park. I think everyone enjoyed themselves

Well I know Nala enjoyed herself

When we got back to my parents we played a few bored games and then my mom took us home so Maddix could take his nap. While he slept Travis and I cleaned up the car mess out of the drive way because..... TRAVIS BOUGHT IT BACK TO LIFE! Thank you Love. And to make things even better, Travis sprayed the whole house with bug spray to take care of all these pesky pests and we're so happy to say it's working all ready!

Once Maddix woke up we went to the river and threw Nala into it to help her cool off. While there we met a man who was on the original council for creating the Provo River Trail Project; one of three originals. He was there with his massive poodles who just wanted nothing more than to play with Nala:)

So to end the night we had a delicious dinner, took Maddix to my parents for the night, and visited with Mackenzie and Taylor for a little while.
It was a nice day.

* Goodbye June~Hello July! *

Goodbye June, we shall miss you. You were a great month for us and I feel like we made the most of you. That being said: WELCOME JULY! I think July might be my favorite month of the year (tied with Oct & Dec), what am I saying, they're all great, but I really love the 4th of July, so I'm excited to be celebrating it in a few short days. But before I jump ahead of myself here is a "catch up" on the end of the month and the first  few days into July:

Last Thursday's Highlight was definitely our dinner/sports night we had up at my Uncle Scott's (he's such a stud). He asked us to teach him how to shoot soccer goals so we all packed our stuff over to PG High school's fields and kicked the ball. We didn't even end up starting dinner until 8:30pm and ended up leaving around 11:00pm.... so Maddix ended up looking like this before we even finished hopping in the car.

Friday's Highlight involved Maddix "Rolling in the dough"

and helping at my Father-in-law's Single's Ward Activity. He's recently been called as the Bishop and these kids don't even know how good they've got it between the Bishop's family and one of his councelor's wives (she catered my reception, if any of you remember our Cafe Rio salad and tres leches?). They had a club type dance and dinner get together and Travis, Tayla, Colton, and I all went over to help. What with 7 years of waitressing under my belt, I guess he needed to bring in an expert ;)
Saturday I got to work with one of my very good friends and the day went pretty quick. From there we drove to Salt Lake for Grandpa Herb's (Trav's Mom's side) belated Father's Day Dinner... say that three times. We enjoyed seeing everyone for the first time since being home, ate a lot, and then made it over to swim at the pool; well everyone else swam and Maddix and I got in and out of the pool because he couldn't decide if he liked it or not.
                                              (no pictures, sorry)

Sunday: I worked... boo:) But Travis enjoyed taking Maddix to the FIRST NURSERY he's every attended! They said he did extremely well, that he ate SO well (of course, because they fed him fishy crackers, his favorite), that he played well, and never even whined for us. He even brought home an art project they made, his first ever at church:
And then we ended the night with a quick walk to the river trail... but quick is what I meant due to the Mosquitoes attacking.

Monday/Today: Maddix woke up this morning with a blood curdling scream and I jumped out of bed to find his head shoved up against the mesh netting of the port-a-crib he's been demoted back into and for a minute he just squeezed my hand while I tickled his back as he fell back to sleep. Well after that I couldn't go back to sleep, so at 5:30am I made my way into the front room and actually did NOT hop on facebook, but instead browsed around different talks on the lds.org website. I really enjoyed starting my day out that way instead. .... then there was some cleaning.....  lots of cleaning. After which my mom and sisters came over and we went for a walk. And for the most part we spent the whole day outside:

Meanwhile, all day while we were doing our thing, Travis was doing and looking like this:

:) And now ALL OF THAT is ringed in the tub and in the sink..................... so tomorrow will involve more cleaning.

So then to end the night Maddix and Nala went to my parents for awhile while we went to dinner at Cafe Rio, ran a couple of errands and then went and picked him up.

And that's the end.

See Maddix Run

-Our Week So far (Mon. & Tues.)

See Maddix's Monday Morning Face: Sometimes it looks like this
We've been getting some sass but actually this wasn't one of those times. He was attempting to smile... Fail
See Maddix's outside smile: Most the time he looks like this
He was happy to once again be working with daddy fixing a car
See Maddix Run:
Kicking the soccer ball
See Travis Cursing my car:
See My Boys Working hard: While I sit in the shade
See Where Maddix Snuck Off Too: While Uncle Garett just slept through it all
See Where Else Maddix Snuck Off Too: Trying to Buckle in his bear
See What We Found in the Backyard Today:

And today we also took a walk over to my parents and discovered how much we don't like pushing a stroller through the dirt, instead of on sidewalks. But we made it and then we played in the sandbox, I took a quick nap, and hung out with my sibling. It's been a nice day.
