International Talk Like A Pirate Day

So.... I’m pretty upset at the moment because I just spent the last half hour typing up everything I wanted to remember from the last two weeks, down to the cute little details about each kid that I wanted to remember and it all deleted... and I just can’t remember it all to write it all back down! Oh I’m so so bummed over it!
So, here is a bullet list of  what I can remember
Highlights for:
Travis- He was able to go on an overnight biking trip where he biked 35miles in one day. And also to note that work has been pretty intense lately! It seems like everyone has cancer right now.
Lacey- I’ve just been trying to manage my days while being sick. My covid test came back negative, but I have this lingering cough. At our ward dance last night I taught a few of the dances and enjoyed watching all the families doing different dances in their socially distanced chalk outlined boxes in the parking lot. Also, I’ve been stealing away about ten mins to snuggle Avery, alone, before her afternoon nap and that time means so much to me.
Maddix: has been babysitting more, enjoying football, is on the last Percy Jackson book, finally received his long awaited LEGO set he bought (seriously, he and Aaron found these new release sets that would be be out until Aug all the way back in March... and they waited! And then then waited another month form them to finally be shipped!) and he was heartbroken when he decided to take them camping with him the next day and he lost a Few pieces! He prayed with his whole heart and in the end we had a good talk about how prayers aren’t always answered in the way we want. The next day he was positive and really was so good about it.
Aaron: same thing as Maddix, except that he hates football, hates school, and hates piano. And really doesn’t want to do much of anything These days; he’s in an annoying phase. But he still can be so sweet and it so creative. Like his box fort he just built; it was very cool. Oh and he LOVED our International Talk Like A Pirate Day!
Addie: she loved going to the dog park and then getting to ride her bike on the trails across the street. She also loves her Avery and is constantly doing things for her. And must comfort her when she is sad. She also loved camping. And she loves the scriptures! She reads them and takes them everywhere and even hides them under her pillow at bedtime. Oh and Daddy is her favorite person in the world right now.
Avery: she loves Me, Addie, and the dogs. She can be found at any minute of the day with one of us. She idolizes her sister. She finds comfort in her pack of pups and loves eating off the floor with them! And she wants to be in my arms ALL THE TIME! I don’t mind this except for at dinner when she is screaming at my leg to be held and it frazzles me to no end while I’m trying to follow a recipe.
