See Maddix Run

-Our Week So far (Mon. & Tues.)

See Maddix's Monday Morning Face: Sometimes it looks like this
We've been getting some sass but actually this wasn't one of those times. He was attempting to smile... Fail
See Maddix's outside smile: Most the time he looks like this
He was happy to once again be working with daddy fixing a car
See Maddix Run:
Kicking the soccer ball
See Travis Cursing my car:
See My Boys Working hard: While I sit in the shade
See Where Maddix Snuck Off Too: While Uncle Garett just slept through it all
See Where Else Maddix Snuck Off Too: Trying to Buckle in his bear
See What We Found in the Backyard Today:

And today we also took a walk over to my parents and discovered how much we don't like pushing a stroller through the dirt, instead of on sidewalks. But we made it and then we played in the sandbox, I took a quick nap, and hung out with my sibling. It's been a nice day.

~Our Wacky Weekend~

We had a Fabulous Friday... and then I had to go to work :) Travis and Maddix let me sleep in after our late night to the rodeo and I was zonked out until 9:00am! I can't even remember the last time I slept in that long. And when I awoke, I heard the cute giggles of a baby, and this is what I found:

How can your day be anything but cheerful with a boy like that. Work was even fun. And after work we even watched part of a movie.

So then there was Saturday: OUR ANNUAL GIRL COUSIN SLEEPOVER!
We had perfect attendance (minus Shay) and I think the girls had a good time... Yes, I'll let the pictures speak for themselves.
As everyone showed up, the boys (minus baby Trenton) prepared to leave for to go to dinner

Meanwhile us girls started our night with some pizza... little "sleazers" to be exact

Stinking Kody kept snitching our Pizza

This was everyone (minus Brenna)

This was during one of our games, and of course the girls HAD to dance

Even the older girls had to dance

Wish I could have video taped this

This was a sour warhead contest

She hung in there and won

Although this little Madison continued to eat them after the game, just for fun

This was during our game of sardines (which was everyone's favorite I think), or a reverse hide and seek. This is just one of the MANY CLEVER hiding spots people came up with.

Thank you Megan for coming and helping me wrangle all the girls! And I'm so happy I got to meet baby Trenton
Then in the morning we tagged along to church with Kristy... well those of us that weren't sick and having thrown up all night!

And then we finished out the day with a bbq at Grandma Wells' house

Maddix enjoyed playing cars with cousin Bella

Then they watched us play older kids play some soccer (which was quite fun)

And to end the night we all came home and read some books
Thanks everyone for making our weekend so wacky and wonderful! Hope next year turns out so well!

~Still Happy To Be Home~

Wednesday went well. We took it a little bit easier than we have been running our days and even squeezed in a nap while Maddix was asleep.

Before I had to go to work Maddix insisted on sitting in Garette's Jeep Wrangler and repeatedly asked to go for a ride. Once I took him out Travis and Garette had made their way outside and so we decided to stay out and play

Thursday/Today:
Today was a bit more laid back as well. I think Maddix is adapting to being here and getting used to all the new things that were entertaining him so well... and now all he's doing is getting into trouble and pushing boundaries; it was a nice few days while they lasted. For instance he's now getting into Grandma's garden and pulling out her tomato plants, ripping up his books, constantly demanding to go outside, only now he doesn't want to play alone, we MUST be out there with him, etc. So the coolness of all the new things has warn off.
That being said, we needed a break today. So we took him over to my parents house for an hour and Trav and I ran to the mall to buy a phone. So we're officially up and running. But I don't even know the number yet:) When we came back we cleaned, got distracted by the fort Maddix started making, played with Nala, and then prepared for our double date to the Strawberry Days Rodeo

Overall today was really fun. Now for tomorrow, I get to go back to work... yippee :S

Our First Week Back in Utah

Well I must say, it's different doing the blog now that we're back home. For one thing... it's in English now; I like that change. And the other thing is that I'm used to posting the blog at night and then having people hop on to read it in the afternoon Utah time... and I can't wrap around my head that when I post it now, it's the same time for everyone here, and different for anyone back in Poland. Weird. But as I said before, I'm sure no one is reading this anymore so It's more just for my genealogical purposes anyway. That being said, here's  our happenings for our past week.

Friday Highlight:
Friday seems so far away what with us running everyday until we drop and then being zombi-ish all the other times in between. So I would say the best part of Friday was that we hung out with Garette, Travis' brother, that night.

Saturday Highlights:
We woke up and quickly readied ourselves to go mow lawns with Vaughn, then came back and cleaned the house. While we cleaned Maddix and Nala found ways to entertain themselves:)
They were chasing each other in circles round the kitchen table

I'm not quite sure who was chasing who... I don't think they knew either
Then we took a break and watched some more of the Euro Cup:
Sunday/Father's Day:
What a nice day. We went to Vaughn's single's ward that he is Bishop over and once again were the only people there with a baby... and everyone looked anytime he made a noise. They loved having a baby there. Afterward we made our way to Larisa's where we had a Father's Day Lunch. Maddix and Keili played well together and Travis, Garette, David (Larisa's Bro-in-law that is living with them), and I played a round of Settlers of Catan that Travis got as a Father's day gift.

We stayed there the afternoon and then made our way to my Grandparents where we finished off the day with a wonderful dinner, sweet company, and fun games.
These are the three littlest one's at my grandma's these days

These two really had fun together

And these two really had fun together :)
Monday:
I didn't get any pictures because I just forgot to grab my camera repeatedly. But we ran some errands with my mother: mall and grocery store what not's. Maddix spent a large chunk of the day at my parents house playing with the kids, and of course, out in the sandbox. Then that night we picked him up and went over to our good friends, the Hatch's and had dinner, dessert, movies and games. I'm seriously going to snag the pictures they took and post them later because they were adorable.
The night went later than we'd ever planned and both Maddix's were finding themselves extremely tired, but LOVING the fact that there was so much going on so they refused to go to sleep. So we layed out a blanket, popped a bowl of popcorn, and stuck in Rio and the had their first Late Night with a friend. It was extremely cute and I WISH I had the photos.... oh well, later I guess.

Then this morning, Tuesday:
So far we've woke up and done our insanity work outs, watched some ducktales, been playing outside, and now we're straightening up the house and garden.
Well, now it's time to get back to work. Enjoy the day!

Day 2 of Being Home

This day was as good as it gets.
Time in the backyard while I did my workout
Play time at the park hitting the ball to Nala, and watching                         Maddix love it all
                    Nap Time
Lunch on the go as we walked to Gma and Gpa Wells' house
Play time in the Sandbox while Nala received a bath from Trav and        I played catch with my dad
Then playing some games of trouble, dinner, and a trip to the Steinagel's to catch up.
Just Gettin' into trouble!

We'Re In UtAh!!!

There are NOT enough words to grasp how I feel about being home, and there is such a long story that I could tell about our 17hr journey home but I think that now that we're back no one will be reading this anymore, so I'll just let the pictures speak for themselves and keep the words short:)

So Tuesday Travis finished his last final so to celebrate we all went to a breakfast diner we just discovered and ate before checking out of our apartment:

Then we traveled from Lublin to Poland on a Party train (the Euro cup has games being played in Warsaw and the fans were CRAZY and we were lucky enough to share a train with a dozen of them before hopping off and spending the night at another American Family's home, the Armstrongs:

And so after a fun night with them we woke up at 3:30am and prepared for our 6:55am flight to France.
This was 5am at the airport and right before another little boy showed up and literally started beating Maddix up. He was the MEANEST little kid I've ever met!

Waiting for our plane from Warsaw to France
The day was long and the flight was even longer. Maddix did surprisingly well and we met a nice family on the plane sitting across from us. And can I tell you when the plane FINALLY touched down we were ecstatic to get the HECK out of the airport! And there my mother and sister were, waiting to pick us up.

They took us to the Johnson's where we'll be staying the summer and then we made our way around town visiting people and taking care of business... and just trying to stay awake since although it was 3pm when we rolled into Provo, it was 11pm back in Poland. And so EVENTUALLY we made it to bed and after some minor jet lag we woke up to the most beautiful morning!
At 6:30am Maddix and G-pa made it outside and Maddix played out there all morning. He LOVES having a yard and a puppy at his disposal

She followed him and watched him the whole time he was out there

He missed having a piano to play

Okay: remember how I said we were ecstatic to get home, we well forgot Maddix's bag at the airport and had to drive back up there today to got pick it up. Once again his bag didn't make it home with us (this time it was our fault). Maddix slept the whole way up and back
So then we made our way over to Scott's to get a few things and play with his puppies. Maddix wasn't so sure about the little creatures that kept biting him but he eventually warmed up to them:
Kept having to sit and be with Uncle Scott

If you can imagine, after we left Scott's we went to Larisa's so Maddix could take cousin Keili her present and play for a little bit before dinner. It was so fun to see this little girl!
First time really Jumping on the tramp

First time seeing each other in 5months
Yes this was staged

I told them to say "cheese" so they looked at each other and said "Cheese" :)

We went back to the Johnson's and set up our room and unpacked all our summer boxes to finish out the night. Sorry to my family for not making it over! Tomorrow we'll be seeing you!
