The month of December flew by! The weather went from beautiful and unseasonably warm to cold, to FREEZING!

One weekend we had some youth from church staying the night with us and we decided to pack everyone up and take them to Christmas at Clear Lake. No joke, it was SOOO cold we couldn’t even enjoy the parade. Our hot chocolate was Luke warm before it even made it to our mouths.

We’ve been loving dance! Maddix has started a soccer skills course and he is LOVING IT!! Aaron has baseball once a week. He pitches a fit every time it’s time to leave and comes home happy as a clam.
We’ve done ALL the Christmas traditions and eaten WAAAYY too many holiday treats!

Thanksgiving

I have been putting off blogging because I have fallen so far behind that I’m just calling it. I give up. I’m just going to stick to a few of the bigger moments and move on. Which is too bad. Because we really have been up to lots of fun!

For thanksgiving this year we attended a “Friendsgiving” hosted by the Carters. While we enjoyed getting together with all the new families that have moved in the past few years, it also just made me sad because I miss all the friends we used to get together with that have moved. Is it okay to be grateful for what you have and still mourn what you’ve lost?

We couldn’t get a Turkey bowl organized which was a BUMMER because it might have been the warmest Thanksgiving we’ve ever had! I did, however, get out on a run that morning. And I was able to do our with my friend, Heather; I’m so grateful God sent her here! I’ll miss her when they move this summer!

And just as soon as Thanksgiving was over, the Christmas decorating began!!!!
