Bachelorette Party & Bridal Party all in one day!

So yesterday.... could yesterday have been anymore fun? Or event filled??
One of my co-workers and I worked together to throw a combine bachelorette party
for our dear friend, and fellow co-worker who is getting married August 9, 2014!

I think it went well and she seemed to have a great time; we had almost every
last detail planned down to the wire, and with help from her fiancĂ©, and a little
improv, we had an awesome day:) Thanks to everyone who came, drove, and helped!

The morning started with Pedicures at Royal Nails in P.G. where we relaxed
and loosened up for the day.
The lovely ladies who came to the morning portion.
Bride to be: blond on the far right.

The ladies cute nails.  I didn't get mine done.
We lost one of our girls because she had to go to work, but
once the nails were glammed and dried,  we drove to my house for "diamond rings"
and to pick up Maddix for our next session of partying because Travis had to study.

Arriving at Jump On It! You're never too old for some
good ol' child's play!!!

Heck ya went on the rope!

It was just too fun to pass up

Maddix HAD to do it, then
regretted it as soon as his feet
left the wall. Still loved it.

Ambria could do
cirque du soleil!

I made it to the top, then had
to plummet into a
foam pit!

This was the foam pit

After our fun afternoon there we took a break so the girls could
go get cleaned up and I rushed to my soon to be step mom's
bridal party, that happened to be the same day; thankfully,
I was able to do both. So I quickly rushed to Provo to her
spa day, got my toenails done then headed back to PG to clean up
before our dinner.
I got my toes done here instead.

Cute refreshments while we waited.
Chilis!
(Her favorite place)
We gathered for dinner and had a few new faces join us, which was fun. We ate, gave advice, played games, and opened a few presents before heading to our next surprise location....

Our group
... before we could head to the surprise location we had to stall for a little time and ended up at:
Chuck-a-rama...

No, we're not lame; We just parked our cars over there so we could drive together and then had to stall while Steph's Fiance, John, so kindly waited in an hour long line for us at THIS place:
Stephanie is a singer and it was open mic night. For anyone who doesn't know, this is the place that Lindsey Sterling was discovered, and Imagine Dragons used to play here, so there were a ton of ppl all in line there to be "discovered." So even though John waited forever, we ended up being the last on the list... so 18 people in front of us at 5-7mins at 8:30 at night made for a long wait. We convinced Steph that it was so BORING and she told us we could leave and she'd text us when she was about to go on. So we left. :) And a few minutes John showed up to be with her:
We gave then a minute alone, and in the meantime snapped a photo of Ambria and newly Husband, Alex kissing under the broken sprinkler:)

Then we went back in and finally just after 11:00, it was her turn, and by this point half the audience was there just for Steph:) She did great.

So SuPeR ExCiTeD!

We as a family and individually have really been hitting some mile markers lately, and this morning was the biggest and most needed of recent:) But let me start at the beginning.

Maddix and Aaron
These boys make me so happy, and a little crazy too. They have recently become good friends and like to play with each other, I mean actually play together! They chase each other around the couch or table and just giggle away, they will sit in their room and play with toys, they'll watch movies together, etc. It makes me so happy to see them loving each other and becoming buddies. In Maddix's prayers lately he's been asking, "and bless Aaron, keep him safe!"

Recently the boys have been happy too because we moved Aaron into Maddix's forward facing carseat, and purchased a grown up booster seat for Maddix, "with TWO drink holders;" it's legit.

"We both face forward now:)"

only moment they weren't smiling... and I
caught it, of course.
oh and also, after three blocks of swim lessons Maddix finally graduated to the next level! Don't get me wrong, he has known how to swim, it's the FOCUS he's been lacking. Constantly running away front his teacher and manipulating the class time, etc. Well he finally learned focus! Now we get to go on!

Lacey
Life is always the same, yet never dull for me. My days are packed, and that's how I like it. I am constantly going to swim lessons, the grocery store, the park, walks, cleaning, cooking, working, going to the pool, etc; however, I love it. I love that we have the means for me to BIKE Maddix to/from swim lessons so we can enjoy being out. I love that a couple times a week I get to ride my bike to work: it saves gas, 25miles on the car each time, I get to work out, tan, and just enjoy the ride. I absolutely adore that each night I put Maddix to bed he begs me to sing to him, and he'll curl up on my lap and for the only time that day STOP talking and just listen. I will never grow old of getting Aaron out of the crib each time he wakes and seeing his smiles:)
Don't get me wrong, I do other things in my life besides my boys, but they're my best part. I'm constantly fortunate to go out on average once a week by myself, like this past week me and my best friend, Mackenzie were able to visit the Temple and I loved it. I constantly get to do things with friends, and occasionally I even get a few hours with Travis; I'm pretty blessed!

Travis
This man has a permanent butt mark on his chair, ha ha. He has been able to get out a LITTLE bit more lately. For instance, last week he decided to ride his bike to the library instead of drive, so he could get a little exercise... unfortunately the tire popped and he ended up walking it the rest of the way there, then the three miles home. But hey! He got some fresh air. I found out each night I'm at work and Travis takes a break to put they boys to bed he makes sure Maddix's teeth get brushed and when they say their prayers Maddix always says, "and please bless mommy to drive home safe." SWOON.
Also for Pioneer Day one of Travis's uncles was in town and this inspired a bike ride front the canyon to the lake and back with all the brothers and Travis. They went 25 miles
(Travis normally sits all day:), and he was sore by the end! You'd think that'd be enough for the day, BUT I was a little bummed I had to work and Travis decided to surprise me by biking the boys in the trailer, 12.5 miles to Chuck a rama to come have dinner with me. However, when he got there he said he had bad news. Some where along the way the diaper bag had bounced out... in it was the bike lock and the i-pad! After a little worry, we threw the trailer in my co-workers truck bed, another co-worker of mine (who is not a kids fan) came into the parking lot and said, with her hands out stretched, "hand me the migit, and don't let the little talking one too close to me:)" I know she actually likes them, and she helped me watch them while Travis went back to re-trace his path.
About 15mins later his parents showed up to watch the boys and Travis called that he HAD found the i-pad and was on his way back. They ate dinner with me, then Maddix helped clean all the tables in my section. Travis was relieved when we fit the stroller and bike in the trunk (well he tied the trunk to the bike with a charger cord), and then we meandered through all the back roads and neighborhoods so the trunk wouldn't bang open/shut, and just enjoyed the time together. The boys loved the fireworks.
AND the biggest news was two weeks ago he took his first pass/fail test to qualify for the boards exam. HE has been studying his butt off and we have waited and WAITED for this score to come back. You see, if it was a pass then we would take the code and register for the next exam, the BIG papi. If it was a fail then he'd have to re-sign up for the re-take, study 5 extra weeks, and do this thing all over again!
So we've waited
and waited.
FINALLY this morning I was awoken by travis reading off an email he got and I was quite groggy until it came to, "Congratulations on your passing score!!!!" DANG STRAIGHT!!!!!
We are moving on.
it's paid off, and all been worth it.
Now... if we could just get that code to register for the boards we'd be entirely set, but this is great!
We are so excited, and I can't express the gratitude we feel to the Lord for giving us strength, sustained faith, endurance, positivity, and ample blessings along this journey, and for helping us follow the spirit.

Us As A Family
We are thriving. Maddix and Aaron's levels of learning have really jumped up lately and I can't express how much I love them, and our activities each day. Yesterday we had a complete family day full of driving all around,  Cafe Rio for lunch, naps (Maddix and I cuddled on the couch), going to the pool (only it began to rain/thunder and Aaron turned purple so we didn't stay long), a fun F.H.E, Dinner, the movie Frozen (because we were from the pool), songs before bed, then Travis and I watched a movie out on the balcony, and talked until we fell asleep:)
The day went nowhere I expected it too, a lot of plans fell through, but I didn't freak out over an unkept schedule and Im glad because the day went so much better I could've planned!
trying to get warm!

Travis is more fun than I am in the pool!
Maddix took this photo the other day while I was waiting to
have my blood drawn. I love how it turned out.

~July Update~

Well where has this month gone? I'll tell you: for Travis it's gone the same ol' same ol' just sitting in the wood chair at the table in the corner of the room, or studying in the same cubicle day in and day out. For him, each day is the same repetition of too much reading/memorizing and not enough sleep, or family time.
For me the month has been a constant wonder if I'm going to make it through all the studying :) I know I know, at least I'm not the one having to study; at least I get to take the boys swimming, to the park, shopping, the library, do school time/ reading time, swimming lessons, go to work, change the diapers, clean the house, change the diaper, deal with time outs, outbursts, refusals to eat, puking, cleaning up poop, vomit, clean the house, diaper, more fits, more outbursts, etc!
:)
I am pretty lucky
"No don't cut ANY of my
surfer guy hair!"

Bucket head; compliments
of brother
"Mom come find me! I'm
hiding in your dress!"

My view as I leave to work:)

A typical day for us contains anything from working out, swim lessons, the park, Phineas and Ferb while making lunch, errands, fruit smoothies, etc.

I love this pictures of Maddix, he looks so much like Travis; so grown up!
We love our spinach and fruit smoothies
One of our Costco runs... it was DOUBLE what I thought it would cost!
The other day when we arrived to swim lessons there were some firemen parked nearby and Maddix HAD to talk to them. They gave him knuckles, asked if he could do "ice cream scoops," showed him around the fire truck, and gave him stickers. Then as we were about to leave an ambulance pulled up with some fully dressed firemen who came over masks and all, and gave Maddix knuckles. As he ran away he yelled, "when I grow up I'm going to be Fireman!"

Also fun we've done in the month of July has been our Chuck-a-rama Softball games; they're over now but they were fun  while they lasted.

Group photo with Provo Chuck after the final game
Thanks to all our goofs who came to the games!
 We are "Chuck" strong
After the game Maddix really wanted a turn up to bat so some players from the Provo Chuck were nice enough
to take him out on the field and pitch to him so he could be included; he loved that I finally let him stay up past his bed time and come to the park to watch of the games.

Now the best part of the month so far was tonight, we all got together at Fort Utah to watch my brother, Colton open up his mission call!

***4th of July!***

The 4th of July may just be my favorite Holiday.
I hope my boys pick up the importance
of this time of year;
and that we never forget the grander of our independence,
or the men and women that have made
it possible.
