~From Tick to Sick~

We're back, and I should be happy.
I am.
But I'm not.
None of us are.
It's like having a wound that is healing:
You're happy that it's healing, but in the meantime it's still healing.
Can a place really leave such a mark on a person?? :)
I know I felt the same way when we left Poland,
I never thought time would heal that wound, but unfortunately it healed
it so well, that if feels like merely a dream. I don't want New York to
feel like a dream.
I don't want to drift away from those people.
Heaven will be simply marvelous,
Never having to say goodbye.

Meanwhile since we've been home it's been a constant up and down of having energy, and just laying around like we'll never have energy again. We've been sick a lot with a variety of different things. The boys enjoyed going to my dad's for two day. Travis is finishing up his last few days of Medical School, going to baseball games, dinners with our friends, and lots of time laying on the couch bored! I've been swimming. We're catching up with dear friends we've missed. We spoke to my brother on his mission. We had a TERRIBLE diarrhea experience in public that was a HUGE fiasco! We've been hanging out with my sisters a lot; I love catching up with them all. I'm even back to Chuck-a-rama picking up shifts! Ha, I just can't stay away. We saw family on Mother's day. We had family come into town so we took my cousins to the park....
That night I went to hug Maddix for bed and felt something on the back of his neck!
In the light of the kitchen, we found a TICK almost out of view in his hair!!!!!!
AHH!!!!! I still squirm thinking about it; thankfully Tayla was there and successfully pulled the little sucker off him and he was fine. Such a blessing that we're pretty sure we found it the day of. And he seems fine so far, but I lost my sheeeee! Poor Maddix!
I think we just can't wait for Travis to be here!

Threw such a fit we had to leave the Cafe Rio

Pushing each other

Park day of doom... little did we know that tick was prowling nearby

All I see is that tick hiding on his head!

Creepy little monster!

Hello E. Wells!

Result from the public diarrhea accident!
Yep, he's in a garbage bag because it
was the best I could do!

Fun in the sun at the Chattertons

H: "Aaron, do you love me?"
A: "I do. I love you."
