September has come and gone, and I somehow never found a chance to record the month; so here's my best attempt to remember what we did for the month!

~Both BYU and for the Boys~
Well, BYU loves to give you a small amount of hope, and then tear your heart out! That's really all I'm going to say about my feelings towards their season this year :*( Thank Heavens we threw our BYU party when BYU played against Wisconsin... who'd of thought THAT would be the game to celebrate!
Both the boys have had games twice a week (when the weather holds out). Aaron is on a league where each kid gets a chance to run the ball before the next team gets the ball; his one time he ever gets the ball and runs it, it lasts about... 1.5 seconds before another bigger kids rips his flags off and his turn is over. The rest of the game he gets thrown around by kids way bigger than him; however, thanks to Maddix roughing him up at home, he never gets offended or cries. He just picks himself up and keeps working on blocking them!
Maddix's team has advanced to the level where the kids are the quarterback and actually throw the ball. Maddix's turn lasts slightly longer than Aaron, BUT he loves to just ran horizontally... so I wouldn't say he's had many yards gained this season! lol.
His strong point really is in blocking and rushing the quarterback; he does a great job!

This always includes a pirate "deck"-ed out table and pirate treats (rootBEER floats and Pirate Booty popcorn). We dress up and then watch a pirate movie. This year we watched Pirates of the Caribbean 1.
~2018 AnNuAl ApPlE DaY~
This year we drove out to Otter Farms and enjoyed some apple picking and apple slingshotting before heading home. We made an apple pie and chose Snow White as this year's Apple Movie. A few days later I made Apple Dumplings for the first time. And then at Travis's request, I made an apple Strudel; I felt like a real little German Lady, baking away!
~Eye Injuries~
Maddix's school nurse gave me a call to let me know that at recess he'd bonked heads with another student before falling to the concrete while playing tag, and now had a rather bad pump above his eye. I took him to Travis, who'd only been asleep 2hrs after his night shift, and he decided to take him to the E.R. There weren't any broken bones, and in the end there wasn't any permanent nerve damage! We feel super blessed that he was okay, and I think he enjoyed having a few rainy days that cancelled football and he just slept and kept ice on his face!
About a week later, I received another call from the school nurse. This time it was Aaron. He had been climbing up the slide (he said he's learned his lesson) when another kid came down and knocked him out of the slide, causing him to land on his face. His eye wasn't nearly as bad, but he did have a goose egg and a ton of cuts all over his face!
I don't know if I'll survive such active and rambunctious boys!!!! :)
~FaMiLy TiMe~
Addie loves her brothers. She loves her Nana. She enjoyed the short time the weather was nice enough to go for morning walks! She loves to help around the house... and tear it apart! The boys love to smother her with too much love. Aaron is all about helping right now... problem is I run out of things to allow him to help with. Both boys are doing well in school, and are mostly (partially?) nice to each other at home :D
