Halloween and Adeline’s second birthday

We are feeling pretty festive over here. Ever since I returned from my weekend alone I have felt rejuvenated and ready to take life on again. I even found myself making little Halloween themed treats, decorating a little bit more, and just anticipating how much fun it was going to be to decorate for Adaline’s second birthday! She chose to have a frozen theme and I have to say, as much fun as it has been to decorate for the boys over the years… I am so ready for all of these princess themed birthdays!
This year for Halloween we did something a little bit different. Instead of running to as many houses as we could and collecting endless piles of candy, that we never eat all the way through, each boy had a different thing they wanted to do. We visited our old neighborhood where our sweet neighbors had special homemade treats for our family. We visited Aaron’s teacher where she gave him an extra large candy bar and big hugs! We stopped by the piano teacher’s house, and this was probably my favorite part of the night! He was fully dressed as the mad Hatter, his dog was a superhero sitting on the porch, and he had brought his keyboard onto the porch and was playing This year for Halloween we did something a little bit different. He was fully dressed as the mad Hatter, his dog was a superhero sitting on the porch, and he had brought his keyboard onto the porch and was playing Erie Halloween music. He had told all his piano students if they were willing to come play their Halloween piece on the keyboard, then he would give them a king size candy bar… The boys thought this was pretty cool! Afterward, we came back and just trick-or-treat it to our cul-de-sac before it was too cold! Maddox really wanted to sit on the porch and hand out candy. He wrapped up in a blanket brought out his pillow and sat on our porch swing and finished handing candy out while Aaron and I trick or treated one more cul-de-sac. All in all, this was one of my favorite Halloween‘s and I’m just so ready for the holidays!
