Parting with Things i'm Fond of

The Lord has always said we shouldn't become attached to worldly possession, but I lost some things this week that have me down. And even though I know it's for the greater good... I'm still having a hard time parting with them (well, sort of).

Goodbye Wisdom Teeth, I hope it's just the medication i'm on that has me loopy and not a permanent loss of wisdom now that you've been taken away:

Well, I may be chipmunk cheeked, and now without a jeep, but I still have these two monsters in my life and that's all I need!

New Hair

WELL... in preparing to move to Poland, I realized I don't want to go there being super blond as I've been for a long time. I won't have a lot of money to keep up with the roots, and I don't want to stand out like some blong tourist with a "Rob Me" sign posted on my head:) So I resolved to dye my hair to it's natural color...
Then I realized how boring my color is, and I also realized how much I love Rachael McAdams. In watching Time Traveler's Wife (which was seriously tragic) I realized how white she was even with dark hair, and it hit me: It's finally in style to be white and have dark hair! Yay! So I did it:

Still Getting the Hang of Things, but Merry Christmas!!

So today was a wonderful Christmas. It's so much fun having Maddix aware and understanding of the things that are going on around him. This morning while I was finishing getting things ready, I noticed it was too quiet. When I went looking for my baby boy I found him hiding in a corner of the kitchen eating a bag of pretzels in a sneaky way...

Once it was all set up we made our way upstairs to open our presents.

Afterward a few pictures of my favorite present Maddix received, we made our way to my parents to open presents with them. While we were there we visited with Mackenzie which was wonderful! I'm going to miss her so much!

To end our Christmas Day we made our way to the Johnson's four our last Christmas party where we exchanged presents with the cousins and Grandma Eileen (Trav's Grandma we live with).
