Week 5: Conference+Easter= ThE BeSt WeEk YeT

Holidays are wonderful, and the meanings behind them are special; however Conference is my FAVORITE time of the year... and we get it twice a year. And it just so happens that this year it fell on Easter weekend; I feel that this made the weekend THAT much more exciting:)
If anyone is reading this and has any interest to know more about Conference, Christ, or the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day saints, visit here www.lds.org  .

This whole week was really nice just playing, having the weather warm up more, playing at the park with our friends Whitney and Camden. We enjoyed a walk to the local fire station since Maddix learned about the letter "F" and firemen this week. He even wore his firemen's hat and was so disappointed when we rand the doorbell twice, only to find out they weren't there. As we waited for the light to change so we could leave, traffic was stopped by siren as the firetruck came buzzing down and backed into the station. The firefighters came over to say hi to Maddix because they noticed his hat and ended up getting a tour:) The boys also got to "drive the truck" and Maddix was made the Honorary Chief! Later in the week we enjoyed a Primary Easter party at the church.

Conference was by far the highlight for me. I have to say, I'm even impressed with how well the boys did... okay, okay, how well MADDIX did. Aaron had his nap during the 1st and 3rd sessions, but come on, for being little boys they were great; Maddix even responded to questions asked by the speakers, and asked questions that I found I wasn't even listening too. I love the age he is at to be able to work on puzzles, matching games, color, etc. while we be together. Then on top of the beauty of Conference, it was Easter weekend!!

The boys and Nala loved hunting for their eggs/baskets this morning, watching a clip of the Resurrection while I made "Bunny Breakfast," we cooked and cooked and cooked to prepare for dinner, found out the Sister's wouldn't be making it for dinner, went on a walk, enjoyed more conference, and then ate WAY WAY too much wonderful food. I can't express how grown up I feel being able to prepare these meals that dirty my entire kitchen, and call for more than a couple of ingredients! I just love it. I also love how the boys are together; Travis described them like a cartoon cloud of whirling-swirling dust with random arms and legs and paws popping out of it as it rolls through the house and out the backdoor. They are so crazy and we just love them so much.

He fell and bashed his face in
and was bleeding all over :*(

Little pouter wouldn't go
play; the boys ran around having fun
while she sat there whining to come in.

Glazed Ham, Twice baked potatoes, a homemade French bread
bunny (complete with Sunday Tie), homemade spinach dip, veggies,
and "bunnies in the grass" which are pears in lime jello.
Travis and I are a pretty good team.
