No better way to end the year than with friends and family!

Last Sunday our friends Alex and Ambria flew into town and we started a week of all out fun!
Monday
Maddix ended up very sick so they boys and I stayed home while Travis took Ambria and Alex around Battery Park, Financial District, Ground Zero, The Highline, and then Time Square. We had Rosa's Pizza for dinner to start our week of takeout!

Tuesday
We were up and going since Maddix was feeling better and we headed to Park slope, had some amazing Turkish Food, Brooklyn famous blue marble ice-cream, prospect park, and then over to DUMBO to see the sights all lit up in the dark. Then ended the night with Chinese take-out.

The boys now understand what snap chat is... I don't even know
what it is...
Wednesday
This was a recovery day for all. Poor Maddix pushed it so hard for us on our Tuesday outing so other than a quick trip over to Jackson Heights for some traditional Columbian Empanadas, we just stayed in:)
Thursday
Back at it, the boys and I took Ambria and Alex back into the city and right over to the Museum of Natural History, then through Central Park. On the way home we were making good timing and SO excited that Aaron fell asleep as soon as we hit the subway... UNTIL the subway broke..
we hopped off and waited, and WAITED.. and WAITED for the next line.
Finally it came and we went another stop only to find out that ALL the rest of lines were DOWN!
We were stuck. So we went up to the street and found some people to help me order a taxi!
Then we made it home... 2hrs late.
Ambria and I walked to the store to gather the rest of our festivities for our New Years Eve Shindig!
With our friend John along for the party, the boys in bed, and the New Years show in the background we ate, played games, and then ran up the hill at midnight to watch and listen to the fireworks going off in Manhattan! It was a wonderful way to reign in our New Year here in NY!

Friday
Chinatown/ Little Italy
'nuff said!
We had Shake Shak for dinner after Ambria and Alex returned from the Statue of Liberty.
"Over-rated!"

Saturday
This was our final big day, and we were SO grateful to Gma Carol/Gpa Dave for taking the boys for the day (as well as spoiling them like crazy) so we could run around just as adults.
We started with a BIG German lunch at Zum Stamtisch, then sat in a food-coma on the subway in the City. There were THOUSANDS of people left over from New Years Eve and we were fighting clouds everywhere we went!! SOOOooo glad we didn't have the boys! NBC studios, Radio City, Rockefeller, Saks all the way down 5th avenue.. there were just people everywhere! The Cathedral was insane! But I did get to buy some make-up at the counter in Saks and then a treat at Magnolia Bakery and I felt like a BALLER carrying the bags around! After a quick trip over to Macys on 34th street we hopped a train home. Once the boys were in bed we watched our final movie all together, and wrapped up this fun trip all together!!

So pretty all lit up

That's Sacs on 5th Ave all lit up

Empire St. Building

While we were running around, our boys were playing nintendo, going to the movies, playing at the arcade, and some more nintendo; they even left without a single fight... just a few held back tears in regret that they had to leave.

Here's to a Happy New Year of 2016
Things I'm most excited for:
To find out we matched
Where we'll be moving
Maddix starting Kindergarten
and our final four months here in NY!
