~Family Time and a comfy road trip~

May 25th & 26th: Visited Gma Julien, found Aaron asleep in an unusual place, and went to Little Summer Kulunki's Dance recital with my mother and father in-law. And wished Tayla a Happy 23rd Birthday!

May 26th & 27th: Got a miserable haircut (I'm used to it now) two days before pictures, had lazy mornings, and the BIGGEST news is we tested out a Ford Explorer, and ended up buying it! Sadly, that meant saying goodbye to our over the moon wonderful Blue Fusion! We will miss that perfect car! We look forward to the new adventures that lay ahead!
We then got Mr. A-a-Ron's hair cut for pictures, and made it down to a barbecue- game night at the Chatterton's.

Late night basketball game
May 28th, 29th, & 30th:
Family Pictures
Sunday dinner at Gma Eileen's (In a battle of wills, Aaron fell asleep on my lap instead of eating the 5 bites needed to get down and play... I don't know if that's considered a win for me or him?).
Memorial Day Barbecue and a little neighborly yard work with the Wells side.

Fun with cousins

May 31st- June 3rd
Took our Explorer on its first road trip and experienced the luxury of fans above each seat, space so the boys don't fight, a third row seating so my sister had room to come, and the ability to plug the iPad in and listen to the sound through all the speakers! It was like a movie theater!
We spent a few days at a rented condo with my dad's family where we slept in, stayed up late, went hiking, lived in the pool, and played endless rounds of Heads Up; we are so grateful we had some time to spend with everyone, and want to say THANK YOU Dad and Wendy for making that happen:)

The Narrows

That little face:)

Movies in the car through these
speakers is seriously the best
Then Friday morning we left early to make it back for Trav's brothers hike they had planned. While we were driving I got car sick, took one of Maddix's Dramamine's and it KNOCKED ME OUT... like I dozed in and out for two of the 3 1/2hrs in the car, then we got home, Travis left, I sat down and fell back asleep. On and off I remember my sister saying, "boys don't go in there, mom's napping... come here boys, lunch is ready. Boys, I have a show for you..."
I slept from 11:30-3:00, then I could barely get myself up and going for a long while after that! I'm so grateful for helpful little sisters! Later Tayla joined us, and my mom. We all played Heads Up in the back, then Tayla and I went for a 2 hr walk after the boys went to sleep.
Meanwhile, Travis and his brothers set out on their hike. They then grabbed lunch and ice-cream, went and played some zombie video games, went golfing, then joined their dad for pizza and TMNT ("with Megan Fox! Grrr..." -Travis)
Travis and I took Tayla home and I realized I hadn't eaten any meals and really wanted a cookie dough shake; we went to sonic and it was like being a kid again: trolling around Provo at midnight, eating fast food without worry of calories, and blasting our loud music:)
.... Then when we went to bed at 1:00am the reality that we're NOT young hit when Aaron decided to stay up all night crying and my stomach started hurting from late night greasy food.
Reality checks are no fun!
