This was our last annual spring break that we would be spending in Bentonville, AR. Aside from the biking this year, there were two rainy days where we filled our time in with the indoor trampoline park, Abuelas, board games, Movie Snuggles, Golden Corral, and an indoor rock climbing place; this was a highlight for all! Turns out we birthed four mountain goats! No fear. Lots of energy. They all hit the tops of their runs and fearlessly jumped from the tops without hesitation. And Avery was the talk of the place. Everyone kept watching her and gathering because they were blown away to see this tiny little thing shimmy up the runs, and to find out it was only her first time!
Such a fun trip, and it was Avery’s fist time on a big bike. Her first day she went 4miles!
And Addie… well she FLEW! Travis took her to some bigger runs at the pump track practice area and well, she forgot how to use her breaks and she FLEW out of the run apparently. I couldn’t see her, but a few people watching from a balcony all cupped their mouths and screamed when she wrecked. But on her way back up they all clapped for her, and told her she flew! She perked up and decided she would be brave! Bloody and brave.
And just to record: I drove the whole way back home. All 8hrs. Just had to throw that in there since Travis always does all the driving!
Back home we celebrated St. Patrick’s day, late. We had our traditional rainbow pancakes, dressed in green, and ate our traditional corned beef and cabbage under green lighting. All while listening to Irish musics. Taking it back to my roots!
