Dad is Home!

All there really is to say about today is..................... TRAVIS IS BACK! It's for a limited time only, but we are going to take advantage of EVERY moment we can!

Maddix and Aaron woke up early after partying so hard last night, but all they could think about was picking daddy up!

On the way to get Travis I got so ancy I was going to miss my exit that I hopped off the freeway at the wrong spot, twice! TWICE! How many times will it take before I get it right? And poor Aaron didn't make it.
Look at this adorable face!

We stopped for gas and lunch at Cafe Rio. As Travis got out of the car Aaron whined, and Maddix jumped out exclaiming, "I want to hold Dad's hand!"

This is a sight I've been waiting
to see for six weeks!

After lunch, the first thing Maddix wanted to do with dad was receive his "Cotton Ball Reward." We started an amazingly successful reward system where Maddix has been earning cotton balls to fill up a jar to the top to earn a date to the movie theater... however, the theater has nothing good so Maddix agreed we could rent a movie, set up a pillow/blanket area, and make up some popcorn and treats.
Thank you Maddix for being such a good boy!

Airplanes 2 as a family!
What a wonderful day it was being with Travis! It was so nice having him around to open my door, get the kids in and out of the car, and run to the crazy mall with me on a Saturday night to do a little Christmas shopping! What a nice day:)
It makes me so happy just to see Maddix so happy! Here were some faces from Maddix today, who said "today is now my bestest day ever!" AND he had to wear Daddy's glasses all day to like him :D

Together Forever

Tonight I had the opportunity to see my Uncle Scott marry his best friend, Sarah. It was small and intimate. The moment we walked in the door Little Bella came skipping over, they hugged, and then they were inseparable for the rest of the night. A moment later my sweet little cousins Lexi and Madison (who are also joined at the hip whenever possible) came over and stole away Aaron. The rest of the night Maddix ran around the cultural hall chasing Bella and sneaking treats each time he passed the treat table. And Aaron went from arm to arm, also sneaking treats.

I am so happy for Scott and Sarah!
And I got thinking about other life long relationships like those of BEST FRIENDS.
And you know not many people are as fortunate as I am to
have met a life long best friend at
8years old
And we are even more fortunate that we were able to have kids the same age to have play together!

so fun!

Thanks for coming to play today Mackenzie and Mercedes!
And thanks to the Arthur book we've been reading for
the inspiration of playing in the leaves.
Happy Fall!

WeLcOmE NoVeMbEr

This fall has been beautiful and as the winds have been picking up, and there have been more grayish days, I've really been feeling the holiday spirit! It takes everything in my power not to purchase all sorts of holiday decorations, and cookie making kits every time I go to the store; don't worry Travis! I've been really good:)
But my heart belongs to summer and so I've been really grateful for how warm it's stayed, even into this first part of November. We love our morning runs and waking up to the gorgeous sun! I look forward to this Christmas season, but I LOVE these warm falls days. And my boys LOVE the parks! So whether we're in the house goofing around
or getting to be outside, these
Three Amigos
are having
a ball!

This is what my morning looks like getting ready for work:

He loves to play in between my legs!
This is what it looks like when we Play indoors:

When we Play At the Wood Park:

Then the park time was cut short when Maddix got stung by a bee! :( Mean bee just came out of nowhere! So we got back in the stroller and ran back home where Maddix loved all the attention of getting to watch cartoons, have some snacks, and wrap up in a blanket with an icepack.

What we look like on our way to Preschool:
Have to take a diaper out on our way:)
After we drop Maddix off Aaron loves to ride Maddix's bike around the driveway.. and
he has to have the helmet; he doesn't enjoy it unless he gets the big boy helmet

HaLlOwEeN 2014!!

On the drive home at the end of the night Aaron passed out and it was just Maddix and I talking about the day and he said, "this was my Bestest day ever!"

And that instantly makes it my favorite day:)

The morning started on a high note when Maddix got to put on his costume for his Pre-school Halloween Party.
After school we had a SpOoKy LuNcH: Jack-o-lantern pb&j's, finger-lickin' snacks, blood punch, string cheese spider web and bloody mummy toquitos! And while we ate I let the boys watch a series of Halloween Cartoons:

Gummy Spider

On our way to meet up at Grandma Lori's to get our annual photos with Keili and Alli in all our costumes we stopped by Chuck-a-rama and dropped off some cupcake we made. I was SO happy to see my co-workers all dressed up for the day!

This may have been the highlight for Maddix.
We went to Maddix's best friend, Maverick's house to
go trick-or-treating!!!
A trip around the block and some homemade pizzas before hitting the road after an amazing night.
Look at these two little bundles!

And these three cuties!

"Trick or treat!"

It's all blurry but they were
holding hands and
skipping down
the road!

Homemade Pizzas

Thanks for the party Chattertons:)
And as Maddix sat in his seat, sifting through his candy, he just got a big smile and said,
" Today was my bestest day ever!"
Happy Halloween!
