Utah Trip Week 2: At the Johnsons

This was a bigger week for us: A-A-Ron turned 4, and has all the accompanying attitude of a ferocious four year old. We celebrated the 4th of July. We did our gender reveal party! Here's a quick recap of our week~

Monday:

First day at the Johnson's brought lots of cousin time when Larisa brought her kiddos over to play. They had fun filling up the little pool and running through the sprinklers out back.

Bedtime stories with Grandpa Vaughn

Tuesday (4th of July):

As we always do, we sat with Trav's family in their special spot on the parade route; it was so much watching the kids have so much fun! We had a big barbecue back at the house and afterward the boys were spoiled with special fireworks all the the older uncles/cousins had gone and bought, just for them.

Wednesday:

Aaron's bday! Happy birthday you crazy, loving, sweet, little goofball!

We played at the park and had popsicles. Then since we had our family there already, we did our gender reveal:) SO... Travis and I had our ultrasound 1 1/2weeks, but I didn't find out the gender; long story short, I waited to be surprised with the boys, and my mother-in-law did all the prep work.

Gender Reveal- Lori prepared nylon grenades full of colored (blue or pink) chalk. The boys and I closed our eyes and our little cousins launched them at us; they were pink. We're having a girl!!!

I knew it. I think mostly everyone knew it.

The boys are so excited to have a sister; they even nuzzle my stomach, tickle and kiss the baby, and ask all them time if sister likes them playing with her!

p.s. Trav's sister is having a boy; she's due three weeks before us. We're so excited for them!

Thursday:

Walked the dog (boys were prison wardens and we were their prisoners), colored and performed science experiments in the back once the cousins arrived, and then spent the remainder of the day in Spanish fork at the splash pads and the Chatterton's.

Friday:

We visited Tayla (who's been sick), went to swim lessons, and then brought home CAFE RIO for lunch! That night we did our family movie night with Grandma Lori; Madagascar 2 and popcorn.

Saturday:

The boys started the morning doing yard work with Gpa Vaughn before going to my brother, Colton's apt while I went maternity suit shopping. They declared his apt the BEST (ice-cream and chips won them over). We went to the Provo Rec Pool with Vaughn (designated slide goer-onner with the kids), Lori, Larisa, and the kids; so much fun. We then rushed to my dad's where he and Gma Wendy took the boys to the Pyramid park and then back to their house for dinner and video games (i'd promised the boys all week they could play).

Sunday:

Maddix got some Grandpa time by making pancakes with grandpa.

Then Church.

Relaxing afternoon of mostly looking at a Lego booklet.

To my mom's where we'll spend the next week of our adventure!!

Travis is busying himself with a home renovation project, work, and on Saturday he got to go see the new Spider man movie with our friend and the new intern class:)
