OuR MeMoRiAl DaY

Our memorial day started with some good ol' hard work out in the backyard.
              Maddix couldn't resist helping Grandpa and Grandma out in the sunny backyard

Of course all work and no play doesn't make for a fun day.
              So Maddix took some time to chase Nala in circles around the new grow boxes

And then after a long morning of hard work and lots of play time even the strongest crash
            And when they crash, sometimes it's in the silliest of positions:)

I love that the was sleeping that way!

After nap time it was time to get ready and head out to Grandma's...
           ...... the other Grandma's, not the one we live with now and boy did we have some fun!

Yes, this is a toy car, and YES it's a BMW!
And it had gears, a gas/break pedal, and
you could switch off their ability to
control it and you could control
it with a remote!

But then he took his turn getting taken to the ground!

Maddix played so well with cousins Bella and Bridger; at one point Bella came around saying, "Where's my husband? Where's my husband (referring to Maddix)? Oh he must be at work." So cute. We had a great day full of family, fun, and too much food.

~And to quickly note some fun times today: Took a walk on the river trail with my equally as pregnant friend, and Maddix was so excited when we spotted cattle, a fire truck, and ducks. Also great, was when we were playing out back with Nala and the rain clouds rolled in and I just got to watch Maddix and Nala enjoy and figure out the beauties of the incoming storm. Seeing my family; and then tonight I loved watching Maddix chase Nala around the kitchen table and start laughing so hard that he took himself to the ground because he was laughing too hard to stand any longer. Loved it.
