We are productive. We make the most of our time. We don't day dream. And above all... we don't think about, or count down the final days before Travis comes home...
-NOT-
It consumes our thoughts, actions, decisions, and dreams. It's hard to will ourselves to go out and do anything. There are plenty of errands and activities to be done, don't get me wrong, but it's the WILL to go out and accomplish anything! Can it just be next Friday already??? In the best effort that we can muster, we did do some fun activities, and this coming week we have something planned for every day to try and pass the time!
Wednesday
We woke up early and had some reading time, and took the morning easy before we ventured over to Grandma Julien's for lunch. We enjoyed conversation and Maddix's favorite part was driving around the race trucks with Granda.

Thursday
Well this was a pretty fun day! We packed up our snow clothes and drove down to Payson to have a fun day with Mackenzie and Mercedes. The kids ate lunch, made cookies, ran around in the snow, cuddled under blankets, and played with some toys! Meanwhile Mackenzie and I actually got to have a normal conversation while the kids entertained themselves! Can you believe it??? I can't believe they actually played by themselves (for a little bit, but better than nothing)!
Actually got ready for the day:) Must be recorded |
Goofs were showing us their chocolate faces |
What cuties!! Mackenze hopes they'll have a Swan Princess story :0) If anyone knows that movie! |

Friday
We got all dressed up, did our hair (novel concept for both Maddix and I), and drove over to the Orem Mall to meet up with Lori, Larisa, and the girls to meet... SANTA! The kids did great and afterward we walked through Build-A-Bear and the Disney store. Then on our way out Maddix made a wish for his daddy come home and threw a coin in the water.
Saturday
In the morning we drove over to my old home ward where we met up with my mom and siblings for their ward Christmas Party. I left them there having fun and ran up to work. When I came home I found Maddix playing with Keili, and Aaron playing with Grandpa. I guess they also made some cute snowflake cookies. After I got cleaned up and fed Aaron, we headed over to our ward activity where we had a taco bar and wrapped presents to give to the Primary Children's Hospital. The kids were so good about helping and understanding that these presents weren't for them, but that they were for sickly children.
The best part for Maddix was being able to see his little friend, Lilah again, and getting to play with her.So here we are dad. Here we are, having fun, and just passing our days away:) COME HOME!
