~So much going on~

Staying caught up is extremely hard to do when there are so many fun things going on, and not enough time in the day to write it all down:)

Wednesday: My mother-in-law, Lori invited us to go to 7-peaks with her and her friends. We got there around 10:30am and by the time we left it was a little after 2pm. It was the first time I ever out played Maddix. At the end he was asking to go back to the towels and take a nap; that night we watched a movie to stay out of the late afternoon sun, then we went out for a walk on the rivertrail. Then that night once Maddix was in bed Travis and I went for a sugar run: he bought some See's Candy's as a farewell present to the doctor and his staff for letting him work with them, and then he drove me over to the Rocky Mountain Drive Inn for a shake... can't get enough of them:O)

Thursday: Was to be Travis's last day shadowing... and the day that he and his family had been calling for me to have the baby. You know, a month a go it seemed so easy to say "yes, okay we'll have him on the 27th" however the day came and all I could do was focus on making the baby pop out. Time was moving so slowly since Travis had the car so Lori invited us to go walk around Ikea with her. We had a great time and then without realizing it we spent the rest of the day working on projects we had bought at Ikea and the whole day was gone without any baby.

Friday: I had my doctor's apt so once again Maddix was lucky enough to go play at my grandma's with cousin Bella and even Aunt Brenna was there. So we dropped him off and headed over to the doctor where I disappointingly found out I had not dilated further, and I'd gained 3lbs more in the past week and a half :( Not to mention my legs were super swollen from sitting and doing the project the day before. So at the end the doctor asked when our induction date was, to which we replied we didn't have one yet... so as quick as I knew it a calendar was placed in front of me and after debating, holidays, and the days my doctor worked it came down to Monday or Friday (my due date); we're talking Monday as in the day after tomorrow. We ended up scheduling Monday, but after much fretting over different things for different reasons, I called and ended up moving it to my due date, Friday. My hope is that he will still come earlier (I pray with all my heart), but I want him to just come on his own! Anway that sort of consumed my whole Friday.

Saturday: Today was probably the highlight of the whole week! And we didn't even spend it together! Travis's Grandma, Julene and Aunt Janelle came and picked Maddix up this morning and took him to feed the ducks, go to the dollar store, and play at the splash pads at the riverwoods mall; he ended up being gone from 9am-12:30pm. Meanwhile Travis and Garett took off early this morning for their Spartan 1/2 Marathon!

They were on a team with Larisa and Phil and they all had a blast
Since Travis was gone from early morning until after Maddix's nap, I took my Maddix free time and went walking. I walked, and walked, and walked. I essentially walked from 9am-1pm. I tell you I don't think it did a thing in convincing Aaron to come make his debut:) However I did pick up a nice tan, sweated out so much water I finally had no urge to pee, and made my feet swell and break out in hives; go figure. Once we were all together as a family we shared stories of how great our day was for each of us and then our neighbor girl, Summer came knocking at the door. Next thing we knew Maddix and Keili were across the street playing in the sprinklers with the girls.

Once he came back he was so tired and cold he said; virtually he'd been in soaking clothes most the day. So we bundled him up on our bed, turned on a movie and cuddled with him a bit before setting up the crib... YES, I did just say we set up the crib. After much debate on how we could fit everything in our room, we did it, and now I think we're finally prepared if Aaron does come... hint hint little boy... we're waiting now. Maddix loved helping set up and was a little overwhelmed with it all I think. Overall today was so much fun and now I'm just crossing my fingers tomorrow brings us more than just church.... like a BABY!
